In October 2024 BPS Gresik Regency will again hold a Great Gresik Out Now (RIGHT NOW) Release with the topic Strategic Indicators for the Development of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Gresik Regency in September 2024. The Press Release will be held in a hybrid manner (online and offline) via the BPS Regency Youtube Channel Gresik. The release was delivered by the Head of BPS Gresik Regency, Ir. Indriya Purwaningsih, MT and attended by representatives of various related OPDs in the Gresik Regency environment.
Some important points conveyed in this release are:
1. There was deflation (m-to-m) in Gresik Regency of 0.16 percent, year on year (y-on-y) inflation of 2.15 percent, and calendar year inflation (y-to-d) of 1.01 percent.
2. The main contributors to deflation in September 2024 include: cayenne pepper, red chili, purebred chicken meat, purebred chicken eggs and wet shrimp.
3. On a y-o-y basis, Gresik, Banyuwangi and Sumenep Regencies experienced inflation above 2 percent. The highest y-o-y inflation occurred in Sumenep Regency at 2.45 percent.
