The rice harvest in Gresik on March 14, 2025, was an important moment with high appreciation from the Minister of Agriculture, Andi Amran Sulaiman, for the extraordinary production results. The price of grain reaching IDR 6,500 per kilogram is also good news for farmers. This was conveyed by Minister of Agriculture Amran when attending the rice harvest and rice absorption in Sirnoboyo Village, Benjeng District, Gresik Regency. Also attending the event were Gresik Regent Fandi Akhmad Yani, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono, Deputy Minister of Trade Dyah Roro Esti, Commander of the V Brawijaya Military Command Major General TNI Rudy Saladin, and the ranks of the East Java and Gresik Forkopimda.

This event was also attended by the Head of the Gresik Regency BPS, Ir. Indriya Purwaningsih, MT, who also played a role in supporting the activity. This harvest marked an important achievement in the agricultural sector in Gresik, with the hope of improving farmer welfare and regional food security.
