Abstract

  • In November 2015 the Jawa Timur experienced inflation of 0.06 percent. Of the eight cities of CPI in Jawa Timur, seven cities experienced inflation and the cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Sumenep by 0.30 percent, followed by 0.26 percent Jember, Madison County by 0.21 percent, 0.16 percent Malang, Kediri 0.11 percent, Banyuwangi at 0, 08 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in the town of Probolinggo by 0.05 percent. While deflation occurred in Surabaya by 0.02 percent.
  • Of the seven expenditure groups, six groups of expenditure inflation and an expenditure group experienced deflation. Expenditure groups with the highest inflation are food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco and health groups respectively by 0.35 percent, followed by foodstuff by 0.12 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas, and materials fuel by 0.09 percent, education, recreation and sport 0.05 percent and group transport, communications, and financial services by 0.02 percent. Whereas expenditure groups experienced deflation is the clothing group by 1.14 percent.
