Jawa Timur's Fisherman Exchange Rate (NTN) in May 2019 rose 1.94 percent from 123.78 in April 2019 to 126.17 in May 2019. This increase was due to the price index received by farmers increased by 1.65 percent, while the price index paid by farmers fell by 0.28 percent. Of the six provinces in Java that conducted NTN calculations in May 2019, five provinces experienced an increase in NTN and only one province experienced a decline in NTN. The increase in NTN occurred in Province D.I. Yogyakarta amounted to 2.31 percent, Jawa Timur Province at 1.94 percent, West Java Province rose 1.93 percent, Central Java Province rose 0.94 percent, and Banten Province rose 0.82 percent. The provinces that experienced a decline in NTN were only DKI Jakarta Province which decreased by 0.65 percent.
