Abstract

Jawa Timur Farmer Exchange Rates (FER) in October 2019 fell 0.24 percent from 110.00 to 109.74. The decrease in FER is due to the price index paid by farmers (IP) having increased, while the price index received by farmers (IR) has decreased.
In October 2019, two agricultural sub-sectors experienced a decline in FER, while the rest experienced an increase. The sub-sector that experienced the greatest decline in FER occurred in the Plantation Plantation sub-sector by 2.93 percent from 101.24 to 98.27, and the Livestock sub-sector by 0.76 percent from 113.35 to 112.49. While the sub-sector that experienced the largest increase in FER was the Food Crop sub-sector by 0.93 percent from 115.27 to 116.34, followed by the Fisheries sub-sector by 0.43 percent from 115.64 to 116.13, and the Horticulture sub-sector by 0.20 percent from 102.00 to 102.21.
Of the five provinces in Java that did FER calculations in October 2019, four provinces experienced an increase in FER while one experienced a decrease. The largest increase in FER occurred in Banten Province by 0.67 percent, followed by Yogyakarta Special Province by 0.41 percent. West Java Province by 0.35 percent, and Central Java Province by 0.31 percent. While the FER of Jawa Timur Province decreased by 0.24. Percent.
