  • East Java's export value in October 2019 reached USD 1.68 billion, an increase of 5.46 percent compared to September. This value compared to October 2018 decreased by 17.96 percent.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in October 2019 reached USD 1.60 billion, an increase of 4.46 percent compared to September. This value compared to October 2018 decreased by 15.19 percent.
  • Oil and gas exports in October 2019 reached USD 79.27 million, an increase of 30.60 percent compared to September. This value decreased by 50.54 percent when compared to October 2018.
  • The main categories of non-oil and gas exports in October 2019 were Jewelry / Gems totaling USD 253.59 million, followed by Timber and Wood Goods totaling USD 122.06 million and Fish and Shrimp totaling USD 101.93 million.
  • Cumulatively, during January-October 2019, exports out of East Java were USD 16.87 billion, down 2.17 percent compared to January-October 2018, amounting to USD 17.24 billion.
  • The biggest non-oil and gas export destination countries in January-October 2019 are Japan reaching USD 2,468.43 million (with a role of 15.30 percent) followed by exports to the United States of USD 2,176.72 million or with a role of 13.49 percent, and to China USD 1,820.82 million with a role of 11.28 percent. Non-oil and gas exports to the ASEAN region reached USD 3,056.12 million or with a contribution of 18.94 percent, while non-oil and gas exports to the European Union were USD 1,335.21 million (8.27 percent).
  • The value of East Java's imports in October 2019 reached USD 1.98 billion, an increase of 2.56 percent compared to September. This figure has decreased 15.75 percent compared to October 2018.
  • Non-oil and gas imports in October 2019 reached USD 1.63 billion, up 5.53 percent compared to September. The non-oil and gas import value decreased by 11.73 percent compared to October 2018.
  • Oil and gas imports in October 2019 amounted to USD 346.53 million or decreased by 9.46 percent compared to September. Compared to October 2018, the value dropped by 30.64 percent.
  • The main categories of non-oil and gas imports in October 2019 are the Mechanical Aircraft (HS 84) Machinery group at USD 182.17 million, followed by the Iron and Steel (HS 72) goods group at USD 161.34 million and the Plastic and Plastic goods group (HS 39) in the amount of USD 123.95 Million.
  • Cumulatively, during January-October 2019, imports entering East Java amounted to USD 19.13 billion, down by 10.01 percent compared to January-October 2018, amounting to USD 21.26 billion
  • The largest countries of origin of non-oil and gas imported goods from January to October 2019 from China were USD 4,667.61 million (29.93 percent), followed by the United States at USD 1,097.37 million (7.04 percent) and imports from Thailand at USD 796.81 million (5.11 percent). Non-oil and gas imports from the ASEAN group of USD 2,409.06 million (15.45 percent), while non-oil and gas imports from the European Union reached USD 1,357.38 million (8.70 percent).
