  • Jawa Timur export value in August 2020 reached USD 1.43 billion or decreased by 9.48 percent compared to July 2020. Value compared to August 2019, it decreased by 24.70 percent.
  • August 2020 non-oil and gas exports reached USD 1.37 billion or decreased by 6.36 percent compared to July 2020. This value compared to August 2019 it decreased by 23.24 percent.
  • August 2020 oil and gas exports reached USD 56.35 million or decreased by 49.99 percent compared to July 2020. This value decreased by 48.60 percent when compared to August 2019.
  • The main category of non-oil and gas export goods in August 2020 was Copper (HS 74) with a value of USD 123.33 million, followed by Timber and wood products (HS 44) with a value of USD 110.53 million, and jewelry / gems (HS 71) with a value of amounting to USD 104.11 million.
  • Cumulatively, during January - August 2020, exports out of Jawa Timur amounted to USD 12.25 billion or decreased by 5.76 percent compared to January - August 2019, amounting to USD 13.00 billion.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export destination country in January - August 2020 was Japan, reaching USD 1,883.97 million (with role of 15.37 percent) followed by exports to China amounting to USD 1,775.40 million or with a role of 14.49 percent, and to America States amounting to USD 1,620.85 million with a role of 13.23 percent. Non-oil and gas exports to the ASEAN region reached USD 2,348.98 million or with a contribution of 19.17 percent, while non-oil and gas exports to the European Union amounted to USD 953.36 million (with contribution of 7.78 percent).
  • The Import Value of Jawa Timur in August 2020 reached USD 1.57 billion or an increase of 14.37 percent compared to July 2020. This figure has decreased by 14.27 percent compared to August 2019.
  • August 2020 non-oil and gas imports reached USD 1.35 billion, an increase of 11.47 percent compared to July 2020. The value of non-oil and gas imports decreased by 11.60 percent compared to August 2019.
  • August 2020 oil and gas imports amounted to USD 226.94 million, an increase of 35.28 percent compared to July 2020. Compared to August 2019, this value decreased by 27.31 percent.
  • The main categories of non-oil and gas imports in August 2020 were the Machinery / Mechanical Aircraft (HS 84) goods group amounting to USD 165.67 million, followed by the Wheat-wheat goods (HS 10) with USD 88.21 million and the Fruit- fruits (HS 08) amounting to USD 88.09 million.
  • Cumulatively, during January - August 2020, imports entering Jawa Timur amounted to USD 12.98 billion or decreased by 14.74 percent compared to January - August 2019, which was USD 15.22 billion
  • The country of origin of the largest non-oil and gas imports during January - August 2020 from China amounted to USD 3,124.91 million (28.53 percent), followed by the United States at USD 886.03 million (8.09 percent) and imports from Thailand amounting to USD 529 , 79 million (4.84 percent). Non-oil and gas imports from the ASEAN group of countries were USD 1.56 billion (14.27 percent), while non-oil and gas imports from the European Union reached USD 969.99 million (8.86 percent).
