Abstraction
• Foreign tourist visits (tourists) who came to East Java through the Juanda entrance in August 2020 decreased by 68.42 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visiting in July 2020, from 76 visits to 24 visits.
• The number of foreign tourists visiting in August 2020 decreased by 99.92 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the same period in 2019 which reached 29,180 visits.
• During the January - August 2020 period, the most foreign tourists were Malaysian nationals who reached 10,549 visits (with a contribution of 30.36 percent), followed by Singaporean nationals with 3,939 visits (with a contribution of 11.33 percent), and Chinese nationals with 2,288 visits (with a contribution of 6.58 percent).
• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in East Java in August 2020 reached 34.17 percent, an increase of 5.60 points compared to the previous month. The ROR for 3 (three) star hotels by 36.75 percent is the highest ROR than for other star hotels.
• The average length of stay of foreign guests (RLMT) at star-rated hotels in August 2020 reached 3.34, an increase of 0.08 points compared to July 2020, which reached 3.26 days. The overall RLMT in August 2020 was 1.67 days or decreased by 0.07 points when compared to July 2020 which reached 1.74 days.
