Abstract

The Exchange Rate of Fishermen (NTN) in Jawa Timur in March 2021 decreased by 1.55 percent from 98.42 in February 2021 to 96.90 in March 2021. This decrease was due to the decrease in the price index received by fishermen by 1.50 percent, more greater than the price index paid by fishermen, which increased by 0.06 percent.

The development of NTN in March 2021 against December 2020 (calendar year) increased by 0.67 percent. The development of NTN in March 2021 against March 2020 (year-on-year) increased by 0.04 percent.

Of the six provinces in Java Island that carried out NTN calculations in March 2021, two provinces experienced an increase in NTN, namely West Java Province which increased by 0.53 percent, and Banten Province which increased by 0.48 percent. Those that experienced a decline in NTN were DKI Jakarta Province by 0.26 percent, DI Yogyakarta Province by 1.42 percent, Jawa Timur Province 1.55 percent, and finally Jawa Tengah Province by 1.68 percent.
