Abstract

HDI is formed by three basic dimensions, namely a long and healthy life, knowledge, and a decent standard of living. HDI is calculated based on the geometric mean of the health index, knowledge index, and expenditure index. The calculation of the three indexes is carried out by standardizing the minimum and maximum values of each index component. HDI is an indicator used to see developments in the long term. To see the progress of human development, there are two aspects that need to be considered, namely speed and status of achievement. Human development in Gresik Regency has continued to progress during the 2014-2020 period. From 72.84 (2014), it increased to 76.11 (2020). The average growth rate during the 2014-2020 period was 0.70 percent per year.
