Abstract

The economy of East Java in the first quarter of 2022, which is measured based on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices, reached Rp. 649.54 trillion, while GRDP at constant prices reached Rp. 427.65 trillion.
  • East Java's economy in Quarter I-2022 compared to Quarter IV-2021 increased by 0.75 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Business Fields, which grew by 12.40 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth occurred in the Foreign Export Component, which grew by 24.61 percent.
  • East Java's economy in Quarter I-2022 compared to Quarter I-2021 increased by 5.20 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Transportation and Warehousing Business Field, which grew by 18.79 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Foreign Export Component, which grew by 35.97 percent.
