Gresik Regency's Economic Growth in 2024 Reaches 4.79 Percent

Abstract

In May 2024, there were 31,222 foreign tourist visits to East Java through the Juanda entrance. This condition has increased compared to conditions in April 2024. The number of foreign tourist visits in May 2024 increased by 98.44 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in May 2023 which amounted to 15,734 visits. The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star class hotels in East Java in May 2024 reached an average of 53.52 percent or an increase of 4.95 points compared to the previous month. The ROR for 4 (four) star hotels is 56.62 percent, which is the highest ROR compared to other star hotels. The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for non-star classified hotels in East Java in May 2024 reached an average of 23.19 percent or an increase of 0.67 points compared to the previous month. The average length of stay for foreign guests (RLMT) at star-classified hotels during May 2024 was recorded at 2.03 days or an increase of 0.08 points compared to April 2024. The overall RLMT in May 2024 was 1.42 days or a decrease of 0.02 points when compared to the situation in April 2024. Gresik Regency has the highest TPK value for star and non-star hotels in May 2024 in East Java at 56.99 points, while Ngawi Regency is the area that has the TPK value for star hotels and non-stars in May 2024 were lowest in East Java, at 11.75 points.
