Foreign tourist arrivals (tourists) who came to East Java through the entrance of Juanda in October 2019 rose by 2.09 percent compared to September, from 20,719 visits to 21,152 visits.
The number of foreign tourists visiting October 2019 decreased by 18.45 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the same period in 2018 which reached 25,938 visits.
Most tourists in October were Malaysians who reached 5,661 visits, up 5.95 percent, followed by Singapore's nationality with 2,362 visits or 6.82 percent, and Chinese nationalities of 2,284 visits or down 2.31 percent compared to September 2019.
Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in East Java in October 2019 reached 59.93 percent, up 5.75 points compared to the previous month. The ROR for 4-star hotels (four) by 66.07 percent was the highest ROR compared to ROR for other starred hotels.
The average length of stay of foreign guests at star-rated hotels in October 2019 reached 2.42 or fell 0.01 points compared to September 2019 which reached 2.43 days. The overall RLMT in October 2019 was 1.60 days, down 0.08 points, compared to September which reached 1.68 days.
