Abstract

The economy of East Java in the second quarter of 2022 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices reached Rp.677.52 trillion, while GRDP at constant prices reached Rp.438.03 trillion.
  • East Java's economy in Quarter II-2022 compared to Quarter I-2022 increased by 2.39 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Business Fields, which grew by 14.12 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth occurred in the Government Consumption Expenditure Component which grew by 18.74 percent.
  • East Java's economy in Quarter II-2022 compared to Quarter II-2021 increased by 5.74 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Transportation and Warehousing Business Field, which grew by 22.21 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth occurred in the PMTB component which grew by 7.84 percent.
  • East Java's economy up to Quarter II-2022 increased by 5.49 percent (c-to-c). In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Transportation and Warehousing Business Field, which grew by 20.52 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Export Component of Goods and Services which grew by 16.73 percent.
