Abstract

The East Java Fishermen Exchange Rate (NTN) for January 2023 fell 1.85 percent from 102.51 in December 2022 to 100.61 in January 2023.

The development of NTN in January 2023 against December 2022 (calendar year) fell by 1.85 percent. The development of NTN in January 2023 compared to January 2022 (year on year) fell by 3.18 percent.

Of the six provinces on Java Island that carried out NTN calculations in January 2023, three provinces experienced an increase in NTN, and three provinces experienced a decrease in NTN. Central Java Province experienced an increase of 1.80 percent, DKI Jakarta Province rose 1.14 percent, and Yogyakarta Province increased 0.61 percent. Those that experienced a decline in NTN were West Java Province which fell by 0.13 percent, Banten Province fell by 1.02 percent, and East Java Province fell by 1.85 percent.

In January 2023 the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in East Java rose by 0.60 percent, as did the Production Cost Index and Additional Capital Goods (BPPBM) which increased by 0.32 percent.
